Not related: It is not likely that your current symptoms are related to appendectomy earlier this year. Would suggest starting with your PCP or Gyn.

30 y/o female history of ehlers-danlos syndrome hypermobility, cholecystectomy, appendectomy and rectal bleeding. is it common to manipulate colonoscopy and hemorrhoid banding tools via the vaginal canal? i'm having vaginal pain post these procedures?

: You may have a referred pain, those procedures do not involve the vagina. However, if you observe discharge or blood coming out from the vagina along with the pain, you should see a GYN doctor. Rarely, a procedure done in the rectum can damage the genital organ in front of the rectum. i.e. the vagina, due to their anatomic proximity but I doubt with just hemorrhoid banding.

Unrelated: This is most likely unrelated, unless of course you had a transvaginal approach at one of the few centers in the us doing it this way. Stress of anesthesia and surgery could disrupt regular menstrual cycles. I you think something is wrong however, call your surgeon or primary care - they'll take the call. Best of luck.

Injury? Cervicitis?: Maybe an injury if "unplanned" implies sex was vigorous or poor lubrication, and trauma would fit with "tightness". However, bleeding after sex can be inflammation of the cervix (cervicitis), including STDs (e.g. gonorrhea, chlamydia, or trichomonas). Pregnancy test: A pregnancy test should be done to make sure that she is not pregnant.  It may just be her period.  If still having pain go see a gynecologist.

my wife had a 12 week ultrasound today and everything was normal. she had vaginal bleeding a few hours later. what could cause this?

Soundwaves: Ultrasound simply uses sound waves to generate an image so it would not directly causes bleeding. If this was a transvaginal sonogram then lubricant is applied and any blood in the back of the vagina already might come out and be visualized. You could contact the Obgyn who did the sonogram to see if any abnormalities were seen in the sono that would explain irregular bleeding.

Possible miscarriage: Get checked  bleeding and cramping most times are signs of a possible miscarriage.

Several things: Most gyn texbooks devote an entire chapter to menorrhagia(heavy bleeding.) as there are too many things to list here. Have a gyn md evaluate your bleeding which will test him/her on how well they read that gyn books chapter.

About Postinor 2: Plan B, Postinor 2, and other brands of emergency contraceptive pills can alter the menstrual cycle for the cycle in which Plan B or Postinor 2 was taken, and sometimes the next month's cycle too. The pills are for rare EMERGENCIES, and not for routine birth control (use a different method for that). One should be sure to check a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex.
