i have cold symptoms on top of burning with urination. is it possible i'm in the early stages of a uti? what happens if i don't see a doctor?

Here's the lineup:: If it's a UTI (urinary tract infection), it will likely get worse and you will feel miserable! some people try flushing their system with a lot of water - and sometimes it works. But if you get worse, you should be evaluated. Other possibilities include stds, so consider this as you figure out what to do. About the cold? There's a saying: it'll last 7 days if you treat it, and a week if you don't.

UTI less likely: Typical UTI symptoms: urinary urgency, frequency, voiding small amounts, and burning with urination. Though some utis can clear on their own with pushing fluids, most will require an antibiotic. A UTI would not clear with a bath whereas any vaginal irritation, especially if related to a chemical irritant (lubricant, spermicidal, sprays, etc) would. Vaginitis also associated with burning/discharge.

Dysuria: It is very unlikely it is anything other than the options you describe. But, rare events such as kidney stones or any other process that leaks blood cells into the urine are also on the list.

for pyelonephritis a second dose of levaquin was prescribed because i have been having reoccurring uti resistant to macrobid. i am still in pain and burning while urinating. stomach and flank pain, nausea and chills. how long should recovery take?

: Symptoms should improve within 2 days and entirely gone within 5-10 days. If longer, keep working with your doctor to confirm the diagnosis; rule out other causes; check for complications or factors that make for worse infections (kidney stone, blocked ureter, etc); and perhaps change treatment yet again. Maybe consider consultation (infectious diseases and/or urology); discuss w/ your doctor.

Probably: These are typical symptoms of a UTI or bladder infection.  You should be checked because other types of irritative conditions (for instance herpes) can also have such symptoms.  Also you need to get a urine culture started before you start medication.  Meanwhile, drinking plenty of fluids & taking cranberry, either juice or capsules, along with an over the counter medication like uristat (phenazopyridine) can help.

after treatments for yeast, i still have itchiness in vaginal space for 3 years. comes 2-3 times/month. have burning urinating, but no uti. what is it?

Hard to know: It may be recurrence of the yeast infection, or you may have an associated infection which has not been diagnosed,  go see your doctor and get examined while you are having symptoms.

Further workup: May need further investigation since still symptomatic.  Further questions and exam by your healthcare provider will differentiate between persistent UTI needing  an alternative medicine vs.  obtaining  a test to rule out a different condition that is evolving.  Although urinating more, should still maintain good water hydration.
