Likely none : Many vitamins and supplements out there do not have approval. I would not be overly concerned.

Hard to tell: Isotonix has many products, and since they are not medications approved by the fda, isotonix products are probably not tested for effects and side effects like real medicines are. That means nobody really knows what effects they have, and how accurate their dosing is, and how true or false their claims are. If it is a large, national brand, their products' quality control might be adequate.

Many good choices: There is no single best brand but some are much better than others. Here are independent ratings of 101 brands: http://www.Multivitaminguide.Org/ any of the top 30 on that list are good. My personal favorites include ultranutrient from pure encapsulations (not on that list!), ultrapreventive x, life force multiple, life extension mix, maxxum 4 & advanced nutritional system (on this list).

Studies show: They really don't help HOWEVER that being said I would qualify that people with normal healthy diets do not benefit from them. If you are not eating fruits and veggies hardly at all I certainly would recommend a daily multivitamin such as centrum.

Uncertain quality: If you want the best acting, there is no regulation in this arena and few supplements have been tested.  If you can find supplements  made by a major pharmaceutical company like bausch and lomb, then they will have been tested for content and quality.  Supplements in 'health food stores' are a random selection and the contents may not be the same as listed on the label.

See below: Iron sulfate and iron fumerate are the more commonly prescribed iron pills. The fumerate compounds are more easily absorbed and are more easy on the GI tract.

USP certified: Any OTC supplement that is USP certified will be acceptable.  The USP is an independent organization which certifies identification, strength, purity, and quality of supplements.  The organization verifies that Good Manufacturing Practices are followed.
