: Almost certainly there was no risk of any infection from use of the sex toy, and almost certainly you can rely on the MRI results and the opinion of the ER clinician. But if your husband's "bulge" and pain persist, he should check with his doctor. Almost certainly this has nothing to do with the sex toy.

Clean and observe: This is one of the rare instances where I may actually recommend a douche to remove spores from the vaginal area. Then soak in tub or shower using a handheld showerhead to thoroughly rinse the area. Finally, close observation - if you start having significant irritation or discharge, see your doctor right away. If symptom free after a couple of days, you are likely in the clear.

: There was no risk; HIV is dead and gone once secretions dry out.d In the future, of course sex toys should be washed with soap and water or otherwise disinfected between uses by different people. But the only HIV/STI risk would come if used in immediate succession by different people, without time for fluids to dry.

: This blood could be @ trauma during intercourse, esp since the considerable time between your last sexual encounter.  See your gyn doc to confirm and most likely assuage your fears.

Probably fertile: The sperm could have gone backwards - this is called 'retrograde ejaculation' and the sperm goes backwards into your bladder and comes out later when you pee. It is unlikely that having this happen once would damage anything or cause infertility later on - assume you're fertile if you're not trying to have a kid. Obviously if you have abnormal swelling, bruising or bleeding then get checked out.

You decide: I would not usually look to the sex toy as having created a problem. However, if you were aggressive  in your mechanical manipulation of that toy it could have stirred up some lower bowel issues.( lots of germs around) If this is interfering with your life activities a visit would be reasonable.

It's possible.: It is possible to spread virus particles, bacteria, or yeast by sharing sex toys. For that matter, any exchange of bodily fluids can result in transmission of an std.
