Not necessary: Ciprodex is  an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory ear drop for an infection in the ear canal, usually swimmers ear, and will in itself, soften cerumen. Diluting it with debrox, a wax softener may decrease the possibility of treating the ear canal infection efficiently.

is earwax impaction removal by an ent supposed to hurt? i had it done today and it hurt a lot. (no pain prior, mild after). said to use debrox to soften & return in a week. should i see someone else?

If wax was hard: Can stick to wall and bleed, you can avoid this by using mineral oil or olive oil for 3days prior to next visit.

3 days in a raw.: Put the Debrox drops for 3 days in a raw. It will soften the Wax and then get Ear Wax remove.

Cannot say: without an exam, I can only give general information, and.. several other ear wax remedy's out there. AND, often the debrox has to be done in more than one cycle. be sure and rinse it out many times each cycle. Other possiblities such as ear infection would benefit from an exam.

I'd use H2O2: I'd recommend hydrogen peroxide;2-4 drops applied to the ear twice a day.

In the shower you ca: In the shower  you can fill your  ear  with water. You may need to see an ENT doctor to remove the wax or see if your physician can do it. Can also try a water pic.

is carbamide peroxide safe for ears? ive got a little build up of normal wax and its probably best i loosen it up and remove it. is this a safe and effective way to remove ear wax? any major safety concerns? thanks?
