Urobilinogen: This could be normal. This is not a reliable test. If urobilinogen is positive or high liver disease should be suspected. You might have to have liver function panel done if the doctor suspects something is going on with your liver.

Okay: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your results are not a cause for concern.

hi i recently took a urine test. results were as follows; s.g. 1.028 ph 5.5 slightly increased urobilinogen amounts, pus cells 4-6/h.p.f. and positive for epithelial cells. everything else was nil and normal. what does this mean? does it mean a uti?

: First was this a clean catch mid stream urine that was tested. If no do one.  Epithelial cells are normal in urine. The come from the bladder and other parts of the urinary track and are shed as they wear out and new ones replace them. Does not mean at UTI.  Only a culture of a clean catch can document that.

i had my gall bladder removed and had an ercp procedure where there was no stent placed but rather an incision widening the duct at the bottom. i recently had a urine test done for uti and urobilinogen level of 4mg/dl could it be a biliary blockage?

: Biliary blockage (obstruction) causes low urobilinogen in the urine, not high. Level of 4 mg/dl is high but not abnormal.

Flank pain: Your symptoms are fairly typical of a kidney stone or cyst; urine is concentrated; moderate blood is of concern; stones are possible; CT scan is a big test; ultrasound is easier to get; your meds can cause kidney issues - discuss this with your doctor;

Here are some...: Why did you get urine chemstrip test? Did you have urinary symptoms? Did you collect the urine carefully enough so to no contaminate the specimen, especially during period? So, before drawing conclusion from limited urine test result, a review of history is needed so to correlate the finding with your individual clinical situation.

8 weeks late: Hard to tell what the brown discharge is. If pregnancy has effectively been ruled out, it may be that you are having so called anovulation bleeding - bleeding that occurs from the overgrowth of the lining of the uterus (endometrium). It is frequently uncontrolled and may last days or even weeks. I'd go to the doc and have a full history and physical exam to begin with.
