How do you feel?: The urine test contains some abnormal findings but does not show a typical picture of urinary tract infection.
How you feel is more important.  Try to increase fluid intake.  If you experience fever, burning sensation, low back pain, low abdominal pain, urinary frequency and urgency, you may need antibiotic treatment.  A urine culture would be helpful.

More info needed: Your HIV test results are nearly conclusive you don't have it. Otherwise, I can't help much. Ask your doctor directly. I don't understand requesting HIV genotype except in someone with confirmed infection; the test can't even be done unless RNA or DNA positive for HIV. Maybe you misunderstood? There are many causes of "abnormal" urine protein and HIV isn't one of them as far as I know. Good luck.

Proteinuria: Have a 24 hour urine collection to see the amount of protein in the urine and to assess your kidney function. I would also do a renal ultrasound to assess the size of the kidneys.
Depending on the amount of proteinuria, i would send off blood for aso, anca 2, complement C3 and c4, hiv, hepatitis b antibodies, hb a1c and ana. A renal biopsy may also be needed for a diagnosis and a prognosis.

Abnormal urinalysis: Leukocytes, nitrates and bacteria in urine with dysuria will indicate urinary infection and usually treated with antibiotics.

Does not add up: Protein is measured in milligrams or grams, not ml. It is unlikely that you have been losing 5600 mg of protein in urine every day. It would be prudent to talk to the doctor who ordered the test.

Any symptoms?: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests.

See details.: The ct scan would have shown evidence of a renal cell carcinoma so that is ruled out. The high protein is indicative of significant kidney inflammation. I would suggest seeing a nephrologist (kidney specialist) for an opinion.

: The 8-y-o child seems to have had a transient hematuria/proteinuria (presence of red blood cell and protein in urine) which carries low risk for a serious condition.  Persistent hematuria/proteinuria with elevated blood pressure could be a part of serious kidney disease.  It will be prudent to have him/her checked again in 6 months.

Protein in the urine: A small amount of protein can be the beginning of a concerning kidney issue or a temporary issue associated with running or walking before the test or fever or infections . Speak to your doctor

Varies: Protein makes its way into pee thru several sources. If it spills from the kidneys it can be a kidney defect or infection if the sample is obtained after the kid has been standing for a while, small amounts can occur. If squirted out by a little girl in a cup, it likely contains some skin & vaginal wash.Interpretation depends on multiple factors you can discuss with your dr.
