Are you deficient?: Some folks have pancreatic lesions and cannot digest their food without supplemental enzymes. This is a common problem in kids with cystic fibrosis. For most folks, it's a complete waste of money -- like wearing glasses if you don't need them.

: I dont know what you mean by improving digestion.As a rule a diet rich in plant based food including green and other vegetables,fruits,Legunes like peas and beans,Whole Grain cereals,nuts,oily fish,nuts,eggs,fat free diary,poultry and limited amount of meat.And water.Avoid Sufary Drinks,Seeets and added sugars and processed food of any kind.Dont overeat.Stay Active with exercise/sports/walking etc

Various: Avoid coffee, excess alcohol, excess fats (fried) overeating, anxiety, & fear. Make meal times unhurried and relaxing. My own theory is that more than minimal liquids dilute intestinal enzymes, which depend upon concentrated milieu for effective chemical food digestion.  A small amount of alcohol at inception of meal is reputed to stimulate gastric juices; i cannot recount medical evidence however.

Increase fiber.: In our society, one of the most glaring deficiencies in her diet is adequate dietary fiber. Increasing a whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and even perhaps adding a fiber supplements such as Metamucil, often helps digestion. Drink plenty of fluids also. Good luck.

Why do you want to: Gain weight? At your age, if you are otherwise healthy, being skinny is not a disease. Deliberately gaining weight by overeating is likely to do harm. Eat a mixed diet of fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, legumes, beans, lentils, low fat milk products; limit intake of saturated fats. Exercise regularly. Above all do not obsess about being skinny.

Probiotics: Probiotics are great for your digestive heath and if your digestive health improves, it just make sense that  your absorption should be optimized as well!also eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables with fiber and drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day will help a lot.
