i was curious how far along i'd be if the ultrasound said 6.5 cm/1.3/27 hz at the top of my picture. ?

Sorry Mildred,: those numbers are most likely related to the ultrasound settings, (Depth/gain/frequency)   Ask your OB or sonographer for your dates or measurements.  In early pregnancy we measure crown-rump-length (CRL). Later, the fetal head diameter (biparietal diameter or BPD) from "ear-to-ear."  Also look for abd. circumference (AC), head circum. (HC), or femur length (FL) since these are used more often.

ultrasound pictures. kid does not look like me. looks like others and with each visit, picture changes. why would this be happening? i know the kid grows but there are no characteristics and the kid looks like 7 different people. pulling my hair out with

Man, u need to relax: There is no way one can determine from fetal US pictures if the baby does or doesnt resemble them. The unborn baby is still developing and change their appearance, including facial features right upto and AFTER their birth. Try to appreciate the beauty of  human development  inside the womb and the miraculous process of birth. There are better ways to handle doubts afterwards. Be supportive now.

when looking at a transvaginal ultrasound picture which side is left and right?

Sometimes neither: If you are looking in the coronal plane (like slicing a loaf vertically side to side) left would be on the right side of the screen and right on the left side. In the sagittal plane, front (anterior) is on the right and back (posterior) is on the left.

if i am looking at my transvaginal ultrasound picture and the baby is on the left of the picture does that mean the baby is on my right in me?

Baby position: The short answer is yes, just like a mirror image, but the baby is active, and any position at present is likely to change multiple times. It is nice to think about, but not of concern regardless of the actual position at this point.

did a pelvic ultrasound this week the results show all the parts but no picture of the right ovary and its the part that hurts. should i do it again?

CT: Do you still have your appendix? The ovaries dont usually hurt as much as they get blamed for. I would think more about your uterus having a spasm with pain radiating to your right side, or appendix, colon spasm, abdominal wall spasm.  

If a thorough physical examination can't delineate the source of the pain, you may need a ct scan, but i wouldnt have high hopes it would give a specific answer.

i had a vaginal ultrasound today. in the ultrasound one picture shows a good size lump beside the baby aginsted the wall of the placenta. in all the other pictures there is a small circle beside child?

Without the image. .: It's hard to know what you are describing without the image, but it sounds like a placental chorioangioma, which is usually a benign finding. Google that, and look at "images" to see how it compares to what you've got.  By the way, the small circle is the yolk sac.

U/s: It will really depend on what they are looking for and how bad/good the abdominal pictures are that they obtain.

i took my daughter in for her first prenatal visit. there was no internal exam. they did an external ultrasound and already brought up the talks of abortion can someone look at the ultrasound picture and tell me if the baby shows signs of abnormaliti?

No: If the image in question is the on you are using as your avatar the answer is: no how, no way! that image looks to have been from a late first trimester scan. I can't imagine how a second fetus in the uterus could be missed. The chance of an unrecognized ectopic pregnancy at this stage is so low as to border on the wildly improbable.

at my 18 week ultrasound i did not inquire, but have a rather convincing image of a boy.  not sure how to acurately tell. pic is looking down on body?

You should ask: The "boy" picture is one that many untrained eyes can pick out, for sure.  That said, the male/female genitals can have significant overlap in ultrasound appearance, so best to leave it to the experts.  One anecdote:  i recently had an OB ultrasound guessing game at a baby shower for my friend.  Most people's guesses were way off.  Best to confirm before you start buying boy stuff.
