You should ask: The "boy" picture is one that many untrained eyes can pick out, for sure. That said, the male/female genitals can have significant overlap in ultrasound appearance, so best to leave it to the experts. One anecdote: i recently had an OB ultrasound guessing game at a baby shower for my friend. Most people's guesses were way off. Best to confirm before you start buying boy stuff.
