Many of my : Patients with very sensitive neuropathy like crocs style of shoes. They explain to me they don't like the feet to feel encased, the crocs are roomy.

See belwo: Gabapentin is a very commonly used medications for people who have painful symptoms due to problems with their nerves (neuropathy). It was origiannly designed as a medicine for epilepsy (seizures) but is used much more for pain conditions. It is considered safe after over 20 years of use and does not interact with other medications. Itcan have side effects such as weight gain, swelling, drowsiness.

Many possible causes: There are many possible causes for your symptoms - thyroid disease, tick borne illness, vitamin B12 deficiency, alcohol abuse, pregnancy, diabetes, disc herniation (or other spinal process) in neck, syphilis, etc.!

VERY rarely: Acupuncture needles would generally not be placed deeply near the ulnar nerve.  Also large nerve fibers might tend to "roll" away from a needle -- and not be completely pierced.  If a needle touched a big nerve like that, it would be so painful that a knowledgeable acupuncturist would realize to withdraw immediately.

pregablin. is it good for nerve compression and neuropathy for a diabetic heart patient?

Accepted Answer

Yes: That is specifically one of its indications. You have to start with a small dose (150 mg a day) and gradually work up to 300 to 600 mg a day in divided doses.  Not everyone responds but it's worth trying.
