See belwo: Gabapentin is a very commonly used medications for people who have painful symptoms due to problems with their nerves (neuropathy). It was origiannly designed as a medicine for epilepsy (seizures) but is used much more for pain conditions. It is considered safe after over 20 years of use and does not interact with other medications. Itcan have side effects such as weight gain, swelling, drowsiness.

Pain relief: While it was developed as a seizure drug it's use in the diseases you mention is pain relief. It's addition often allows for less opioid use.
