Depends: A fracture is a break in the bone. In the ulna the severity depends on the location of the fracture and the amount of displacement of the bone.  Some fractures in the ulna need little to no treatment while others may need surgery.  An orthopedic surgeon with an x-ray can make the diagnosis and determine treatment.

Finger joint pain: Can be due to  post fracture joint issues, that has nothing to do with the actual fracture , a careful  followup exam and good follow up xrays may help sort this out. Often I see that in people who don't think they have arthritis but have arthritis fingers on initial X-ray, get stiff while treating the radius.  The radius fractures heal but fingers stay stiff. This why early finger ROM is crucial!

Stiffness is expectd: after 10 weeks in a cast for anything. Dedicated hand therapy from a CHT or certified hand therapist can be a very efficient way to address stiffness, strength  and other associated issues.  Speak to your surgeon about this. After internal fixation the time frame is several months , at least , before one may notice a more "normal" feeling. But it could take 1-2 years!

longarm cast removed 1 week ago for a distal radial and distal ulnar fracture & im having achy elboy pain should i be concerned? i had the cast on for three weeks and have been out of it for one week today just wearing a brace for wrist support. my doctor

Stiffness : Stiffness can cause some discomfort after a long arm cast is removed, usually this resolves, however if it is persistant, as you say it is, you should contact your physician. While there can be other problems and injuries that can lead to elbow issues  the doctor who put on or took off your cast is really the one you should be talking to.

i've had bone graft surgery because my open ulnar fracture wouldnt grow. will i be able to do sports, pullups, pushups with plate in my hand and when?

After its healed: You certainly can play sports with a plate on your ulna but only after the bone is fully healed.

Get to a doctor: or ER.  Stabilization is key for fractures as it will help with pain and prevent any further damage.  An X-ray can confirm if there is a fracture and treatment can be either casting , splinting or surgery depending on the fracture.

No the ulnar styloid: Is not directly connected there but if the hand is very swollen froma fracture and the trigger finger was waiting for a reason to become more symptomatioc then the swelling in the hadn could be the tipping point. But a direct cause...Unlikley. Causlality is a tricky issue as we often attribute one problem to another temporally, but you might as well blame a trigger finger on a  thunderstorm.

overworked sushi chef here, had an ulnar styloid fracture a year ago but i've lost range of movement and aches are constant what's my risk of injury?

TFCC injury: You may have sustained an injury to the triagular fibrocartilage complex (tfcc) when you sustained the ulna fracture.  Tfcc injuries can be managed with ice, anti-inflammatory medications, physical therapy, cortisone injection, wrist splint, or surgery.  Often a combination of these modalities is beneficial.
