i have been told that i might have trigeminal neurologia. i hit my head really badly around february. from then, i still experience pain in the back of my neck, scalp sensitivity, half my face hurting, headaches. i was wondering what pills could work?

: If you had a bad accident in February and you have had those symptoms since then, you need to have a CT scan or MRI of the cervical spines and the head first before thinking of a coincidental trigeminal neuralgia which is not related to the head trauma. For trigeminal neuralgia, analgesic is not commonly used but we use med for nerve pain and the drug of choice is carbamazepine (Tegretol).

thank you and also even though i was presented with tension headache and scalp tenderness they turned me down for a scan.. should i insist on getting one as both doctors said i dont meet criteria.. thank you again?

: Not all headaches require brain imaging (CT scan or MRI) for evaluation. If your Drs did a thorough history &amp; physical exam with a very careful neurological exam (&amp; possibly sent you for a good eye exam too) &amp; found nothing worrisome, then it is perfectly reasonable in a young otherwise healthy patient to proceed with treatment options &amp; no scan unless symptoms persist/worsen

i have pain and tenderness in a small area on my scalp, closer to my forehead. theres no redness or bump. its not a headache (but i do get migraines) but its really bothering me. what could it be and should i see a doctor?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If these symptoms have been there for a week or more it would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!

Head: Common cause for this would be tinea cavities.  This causes a fungal area that will often get swollen and soft.

Tinea: Tinea capitis is  a common condition where keratinophilic fungi invade the scalp and especially hair follicles. The is  a common reason to cause symptoms like you are having. Usually needs treatment with oral anti-fungal.  Other causes would be seborrheic dermatitis, alopecia areata and impetigo.

Go to Doctor or ER: You need an evaluation to find out why the  Right eyelid is drooping and the pupils are constricted. You might have Horner's syndrome which can be caused from multiple conditions including CVA, tumors etc. Get evaluated today!

hello! about a week ago, i got badly hit on the head when i was at a bar. i haven't lost consciousness or memory, i haven't felt any typical concussion symptoms, only a very slight pain now and then and a tenderness on one side of my scalp.

Not serious: It doe snot appear that you have a serious injury. Mild pain and tenderness due to any trauma will take a few days(about one week) to go away. You do not need to do anything further unless you develop persistent headache, which is unlikely.
