why is my knee twitching after arthroscopic surgery?

Muscle reaction: Often after surgery of any type involving a joint, the muscles surround the joint weaken. One sign of the this may be "twitching" . It usually improves with time and rehabilitation. If it persists beyond a fe months talk to your surgeon about it.

knee twitching after 13 months of acl surgery, could this be bad?

Doesn't sound so, --: But have it seen by your orthopod. Without examination its difficult to appreciate what's happening?
Must be something else going on, as it seems some nerve is probably irritated, causing muscle fasiculations.

Probably normal: Not sure but doesn't sound like something to worry about for now.   Your body and foot may and will feel weird after surgery.  If symptoms continue call your surgeon and ask.   He or she should be happy to answer any questions you may have.

i have had a bovine patch on my corotid artery surgery last year april now lately i will get crawling feelings on that side of my neck or twitching?

Bovine patch: Not sure what is causing that crawling feeling on the side of your neck, but I'm very sure your patch is not involved or causing it.

i had cornea eye surgery 2 months ago on my left eye now my right eye keeps twitching why is that is it normal or should i be worried?

Sounds normal: Twictching is usually benign, esp in a  young person. Has nothing to do with the surgery in other eye. Twitching that involves part of the face as well could be a problem.

an accident 3 years ago caused nerves in right hand and arm to be severed. since then gone for one surgery.but today thumb kept twitching non stop?

TWITCHING: may be a sign of INNERVATION!  (Nerve "coming back") Unfortunately, it can also occur with the ABSENCE of nerve connections! Your Surgeon can order an EMG\NCS ( Probably a repeat since you very likely have had the study before)

i have l5 nerve root compression.emg showed l5 radiculopathy.i have been referred to a surgeon. i have very little pain and my symptoms are mainly constant twitching and paresthesia in both legs. not sure if surgery is necessary since my pain is low?

: The usual surgical indications involve intractable pain, unstable spine, progressive muscular weakness and atrophy, bladder dysfnctn. Many ruptured discs appear to desiccate and shrink if 8-9 months pass without additional damage.  An epidural injection might decrease symptoms.  A second opinion may be needed.

experiencing jerks and twitches post-op spinal surgery. is this common?

Maybe: Muscle spasms and twitches are not uncommon (but also are not the norm). When a nerve is compressed, there is some abnormal function that results in pain and the need for surgery. Once pressure is relieved, then blood flows back in and can create all sorts of tingles/burns, twitches, etc. Some spasms of the back muscles are also common and can often be relieved by ice, bending or stretching.

i was in a car accident which led to having surgery on my right cheek. now every time i blink my cheek twitches. will this be a permanent thing?

Accident: most surgeries are going to take a year before you see the final results of scars, nerve and muscle function. Have faith I'm sure it will get better.

i have facial spasms on one side of my face.and now my other eye is starting to twitch.i don't want surgery.what else can be done?

Consult Neurology: There are options other than surgery for spasms including medications and bio-behavioral therapy. Consult a neurologist or a dentist with training in oral medicine or orofacial pain.
