They gaining weight : Pretty well- 2/3 oz. -1 oz./day is the target. Just make sure they're doing at least non-nutritive sucking on a nipple (yours or a nursery-made pacifier) so they don't develop an oral aversion.  Your twins  will be referred to the state's early intervention program to monitor their development. Fyi, dr. Monica suchoff is an excellent board-certified developmental/behavioral pediatrician in el paso.

Very little: Weight gain in pregnancy will vary from person to person. I encourage people to be healthy instead of focusing on weight gain. You only need 300 extra calories per day during pregnancy and this is in the third trimester. In the first trimester when the baby is less than two inches long you should be gaining very little.

is it safe to drink powdered muscle milk in the third trimester? i read up how some advised not to drink the vanilla one, because its too high in metal intake.. something silly like that. just curious because im trying to get my weight gain back?

: Powdered milk is safe to drink any time. Vanilla is just flavoring. If in doubt read the labeling and if the product has other ingredients  switch to one which has none.

Twin Pregnancies : The twin miscarriage rate is 17-20% overall, but does become less frequent later in pregnancy. Nevertheless, as you already know, twin pregnancy is a high risk pregnancy, and should be under the close care of your OB provider.

Yes, can be: normal, but you also should get checked for anemia. The fatigue may persist till after delivery. Please discuss with your doctor as well.

i dont have current symptoms of bv but do have a history of it. im 15+2 with twins. what are the chances that asymptotic bv can cause me to miscarry? is this a common cause of second trimester miscarriage? and should i be worried? cervix is closed?

BV in pregnancy: It was once believed BV could increase the risk of premature labor, but no suggestion that it causes miscarrige. The main problem of BV in pregnancy is risk of uterine infection after delivery (post-partum endometritis). Although asymptomatic BV is possible, it's unlikely you have it if you don't have abnormal vaginal odor or discharge. Your Ob will be on top of all this:  discuss w/ her.

Cervix insufficiency: The inability of the cervix to retain a pregnancy in the second trimester is referred to as cervical insufficiency. This is dilation of the cervix without symptoms of contractions or labor in the second trimester. No definite cause has been identified, but there factors which may increase risk. You may be a candidate for a cerclage in a future pregnancy to help maintain the pregnancy.

Ultrasound: Even though we did not get the complete result of your twins ultrasound, it is best to rely on your treating physician for information concerning it.  If you need a second opinion (especially for twins) I suggest you take the Ultrasound images, which you can check out from the facility which did the ultrasound, and see a Maternal Fetal Specialist.  They are the experts in this field.
