i have small little clusters of blisters on my feet which i think are dyshidrotic eczema. (had since a kid) but now its flaring up a lot. i previously used steroid(0.05%) treatment but after a few days of not using, it came back. how can i treat it?

: You may need a prescription ointment to treat your eczema. If you see a skin doctor, they can treat it more effectively than over the counter treatments. So, get an appointment with a skin doctor to make sure the diagnosis is correct and then provide a more effective treatment. Best of luck to you!!

Eczema + Blisters: It probably will clear up eventually but the longer it stays around, the more uncomfortable you will be and the greater the chance of scarring. Try some otc cortisone cream. If that doesn't work, see your doctor.

i think a an eczema break out on my hands. i have small blisters between my fingers. i'm currently using a neutral soap and dermalex, cortisone creams did not help clear up the rash. what would be the best treatment?

Moisturizer: Apply a moisturizer several times daily. The moisturizer should contain no fragrance. A thin layer of an antibiotic ointment may be used three time daily.  Use gloves while cleaning and please follow up with your PCP.

my husband and i have been itching like crazy for awhile now. i have blisters on my hands. my 10-month-old has a rash and dry skin everywhere and a slight itch. weve tried scabies, lotion, eczema cream, psoriasis treatment, etc and nothing works.

Avoid moisture: This type of eczema can often be hard to treat as she has already seen. However, the cause is generally moisture.  Invest in some socks that wick away the moisture.  Change them is they get wet.  Dry off the feet after bathing and anytime they are wet and don't allow them to air dry.  Steriod creams help eczema.  If very severe medications by mouth will help but in the long run isn't the answer.

Have to see it: A lot of infants are born with something called "pustular melanosis", an innocent newborn rash that looks like small pustules that rub off and turn dark over the next few days. They last a few weeks to months in color, then fade. If it's not that, then the pediatrician should look at it right away.

my baby had something like eczema/rash & reddish kinda blisters on her vagina so i stopped using bum cream & used zinc & castor oil so it went away now it's back again what could it be? i'm using fragranced j&j wipes could that be the reason?

Evaluation: Please see your pediatrician. She may have Strep or Staph infection of the skin and requires treatment. Discontinue wipes, oil and use a thin layer of an antibiotic cream three times daily, until evaluated.

? Elidel (pimecrolimus): I assume this is the medication you mean. If that is the case it is often very good in the treatment of eczema, although it is very expensive.
