This should be evaluated for potency. If there are any one of  these conditions they should be corrected. You should have a consult with a surgeon who can evaluate and manage these conditions.

Yes: No protection from organisms and dust is offered by the nasal passage and the pharyngeal regions. Sinuses also help in ventilation process as well as adjusting the temp of the breathed 'hot' or 'cold' air..

See your dentist: Often times puffy gums from mouth breathing can be corrected with orthodontic therapy or surgical intervention.  Your general dentist should be able to perform an initial evaluation and direct you accordingly.

Not usually: No one really knows exactly what "causes" a dry socket. There are basic instructions to follow that will help minimize the chances of developing a dry socket but some patients will develop it anyway. Mouth breathing is not a typical reason for developing it.

Dryness: You get dryness partially from the air going in and out thru the mouth but you may also have seborrheic dermatitis which is inherited.

Good question.: The only real advantage to nasal breathing is warming cold air and filtering certain particles before they get into throat and lungs.  At a certain point, the volume of air needed during exercise is more than can be delivered by nasal breathing alone.  More important to keep up with oxygen demands as opposed to whether it is nose or mouth.

i dont mouth breathe during the day only at night but my nose does sometimes feels clogged?

: I would recommend evaluation for possible sleep apnea by a physician; but doing this on a trial basis is unlikely to be harmful to you. 
If your nose is clogged often, a sinus rinse followed by a nasal steroid like Flonase, may be helpful to you. 
Would recommend discussing this all with your primary care.
