This is called postinflammatory hyperpigmentation, And anything like a retinoid with your Irritated skin should be  eliminated now. It is also important to treat for the darkness, but you may need to deal with your complexion problem first.

Let it be: Leaving it alone is the best option. You may try warm fomentation. Do not try to pop it as that will only lead to a scar. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Don't bother: It is not useful for acne. It is not useful for dry, red skin. In fact it is not much good for anything except as profit to those who sell it to gullible suckers. Nothing related to your "tree allergies" but it can be irritating.

Believe it or not, some people do not use any products on their faces, but merely rinse away dirt and oil with water. In your case it may be worth trying. Otherwise, consider consulting a dermatologist for other treatment options that you have not tried thus far.

No: As you have experienced, retin a (tretinoin) van provide many benefits. Unfortunately scar eradication is not one of those benefits. Laser treatments or excision and grafting (depending upon the issue) might be helpful.
