ORS: A sprained finger can be seen by a hand specialist or treated by a board certified orthopedic surgeon as well. If it is not the ulnar collateral ligament of the thumb( skier's or gamekeeper's thumb ) than most will heal uneventfully!

Splint: takes 6-8 weeks for ligament tear to heal and 4 months for swelling to subside. Tendon injuries often require surgery so see a hand surgeon if any loss of motion

This may depend on : the finger involved and as to exactly what specific type of injury that was sustained.  The most common type of splinting for simple injuries is buddy taping where one finger is taped to the adjacent one for stability but still allow for range of motion to avoid stiffness. Get it reevaluated: Ligament tears that don't heal could mean either immobilization or the length of treatment was not enough, that there may be an associated fracture, or there is something preventing the ligament from healing.  A reevaluation and/or an MRI may help find the answer.

Usually splint: X-rays cannot see ligaments, therefore if a finger x-ray showed a ligament injury, it was most likely due to an avulsion injury (the ligament is not torn but actually tears a small piece of bone away from its point of attachment).  This is usually treated by immobilization, sometimes by surgery.  It is best to consult a hand surgeon for a definitive treatment plan.

Ulnar wrist pain: Check with your orthopedic hand surgeon. May be ecu tendonitis, cubital tunnel, tfcc tear, fracture, or other sprain.

: Possibly, but swelling and pain in the 4th and 5th fingers is of concern. They comprise much of the strength of your hand and injuries or inflammation of these should be accurately diagnosed and treated to avoid chronic damage. I recommend consulting a hand specialist for best care.
