Don't point toes...: There is no reason for you to need to point your toes, so stop doing it if it hurts.  You are most likely just stretching out tissue that is contracted.  If you want to continue this, just progress slowly... Like you would with an exercise program.

Foot veins.: Foot veins are very common and tend to increase in size for many reasons including standing for long periods of time, increased hydration, increased exercise, hormonal changes and even aging.  Usually elevating the feet will decrease the veins.  Support hose will help.  If the veins persist then they can be treated by sclerotherapy or removal through tiny microincisions.

top of foot hurts. otc pain medicine doesnt help. i went friday and had a epidural steroid injection but it hasnt help. suggestions??

: Discuss this with whoever has access to your full history, exam and test findings. Why you would get an epidural injection for localized foot pain is not clear. There is not enough information in your post to make a reasoned suggestion about therapy.

Top foot hurts: sounds like it might be tendonitis or acute joint arthritis if no trauma to area.  Try ice, pain reliever if no medical reason not to.  If not better in 5-7 days, gets worse or you develop fever, please see your doctor.   Hope this helps.  Good luck,

my big toe hurts at night. its so severe that i cant sleep. feels like the vein connected to the big toe & veins on top of foot hurt too. i dont have varicose veins. im not overweight. dont get these pains during daytime naps. not on feet in day?

: Gout??, Inflammatory arthritis (Rheumatoid, SLE)??, arterial insufficiency??,

If present for 3-4 days, see if it passes by itself. If present for 3-4 weeks, see a Podiatrist

fell down stairs, was seen. said i have a sprain. bottom and top of foot hurt. shin where i have carpet burn feels warm to touch and numb. no xray.

Be patient: It sounds like you have a bad sprain and some associated numbness where you got the rug burn, and most likely had some superficial nerves damaged in the scrape. If the rug burn starts to get redder and spread, the warmth gets worse, it starts to drain pus, than it may be getting infected, so seek help again in that case. Otherwise, time will heal your wounds. Good luck to you.

: It is possible you are experiencing a stress fracture of metatarsal bone. A slight break in the bone might not present itself until 4 weeks after the injury will you see bone healing. As for the outside of the foot enough information has not been provided  a surgical shoe would be appropriate without running. See a podiatrist for care and follow up to prevent injury.

Foot injury: Could be a sprain.  Could be a fracture.  Please see your doctor for an evaluation and xr to find out for sure.
