hi i have gotten acne burns on my face from using toothpaste to treat acne. how do i get these burns to heal and fade away?

Time: Toothpaste did not cause burns. The lesions from acne will take time to heal. Best is to not do anything. If you have money to spare, you may see a dermatologist for treatment.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Time: Unfortunately, time and being kind to your skin is best treatment. Keep the area clean, out of sun, and try petroleum jelly on it. Vitamin E oil is also soothing.

Enough is enough. : There comes a time when home remedies won't work anymore. Leave lemons for lemonade and see a dermatologist.

No: Do not use toothpaste on your face.  It will not help acne  but can leave ugly red spots instead. It is very irritating to skin.  Don't use it.  Use it for your teeth only.  There are too many ingredients in toothpaste these days that are not meant for skin.

Absolutely: There are ingredients in the toothpaste that can irritate your skin and make things worse. Please use products specifically designed for pimple use. There are hundreds of posts on this site alone asking for advice on chemical burns due to toothpaste. Heed the warning.

NO: Toothpaste irritates the skin, some people believe that it can dry out pimples, but instead toothpaste will cause redness and peeling.

Not recommended: I would not be surprised if it did, but i would not recommend it. If it works it is because it probably just dries out the area due to the ph of the flavoring agents and the Fluoride ion helps to kill bacteria. The potential for particles to clog your pores is too great. There are better treatments for acne that probably cost less than toothpaste.

Get a real Rx: This is the 21st century. If topical benzoyl peroxide 5% 2x/day hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get prescription-strength treatment from your physician. The medications for all but the most severe cases are inexpensive and safe.
