Tooth patch: Tooth patch is a new term for me. But I suspect that it is a provisional filling. These are not meant to last more than 30 days. Yours has lasted a year. It may hurt as the "patch"' has loosened and may be pinching your gum. Have a definitive restoration place in you tooth...not another patch.

Risks: Some people use a couple of teaspoons in other liquids such as juices as a reported way to control weight and improve their mood. Even if this were the case, which I personally question, with continued use, you run the risk of having the acids wear away your tooth enamel. It's a risk I personally would not take. Is it one that you want to?  There are better tried and true methods.

Several things, so:: See your dentist. White patches in the guns can be normal or caused by trauma from abrasion, chemical or thermal burn, infection, inflammation, cystic change or cancer. See your dentist for any "oddity" that lasts more than 3 days. Good luck!

See answer below: I ama pediatric dentist.  Yellow patches may be congenital malformations of the enamel. They can be caused by high fevers, virus or sometimes a difficult delivery.  If it is not decay, i tend to leave them alone until about age three; then i may bond a whiate material over the spot for a more pleasing appearance.

See a dentist: Red lesions on the tongue can represent a number of things. These can be benign things such as inflamed papillae, tongue bites, or lingual tonsils. Although most conditions like this are benign, they can also be serious, such as oral cancer.  You should see an oral surgeon or oral pathologist. Most general dentists will also be able to help you.

Tongue lesion: It could, but you could also have a a condition related to fungal infection. When you run the patch off, is it red underneath? This could be a condition called pseudombranous candidiasis. You should have your dentist check it out. It's probably nothing serious but any lesions in the mouth that don't heal in 2 weeks should be looked at by your dentist

Needs Examination: Any lesion that has not cleared up on its own within a two week period should be examined by a dentist or physician. Please call to make an appointment. It is hard to diagnose such problems over the internet.

i have a gray patch on my gums near a metal tooth from past 8 months n i still smoke a lot.do u think it has turned into cancer?

Not likely: First, no diagnosis can be made online, if you have a history of smoking and are concerned about a lesion its best to see a doctor for an evaluation. Aside from that, a painless, flat, non changing spot on the gums that is adjacent to a metal filling may be nothing to worry about (amalgam tattoo). There are other lesions that can appear as grey spots that could be more serious if changing in size.
