Probably 24 hrs: This dose is fine since Allegra has a high margin of safety.  I do not expect much side effects at all . The biologic effect will last around a day but there may still be traces of the drug present in your body for a couple more days.

too tired to drive. i've been looking at allegra-d and zyrtec-d. which one would you recommend?

Allegra (fexofenadine) 180 mg: Zyrtec may cause drowsiness.  Allegra (fexofenadine) does not cross into the brain and should not cause drowsiness.  The "d" component is a decongestant and may cause insomnia, decreased appetite, high blood pressure and in men - urinary difficulties due to prostate issues so I do not prefer the Allegra (fexofenadine)-D products. is it possible for only one person in the house to be experiencing symptoms from mold exposure but the other person living in the house is completely fine? nose is running like a faucet, horrible sinus headaches & allegra d not working at all?

: You certainly can hire a mitigation service to check for mold, and other contaminants.  Contact your doctor about your symptoms, which could be due to a different mechanism or allergy.  Do check for the Delta COVID-19 variant, as nasal issues may be presenting signs.

: If your symptoms are improving, you may watch and wait. If the symptoms persist or get worse, it would be prudent to see a doctor or go to an ER. Increase your intake of water to help in eliminating the drug.

congested nose at night. taking allegra d, rhinocort, and azalstine. woke up with soreness at left of tip of nose. feels like a pimple but don't see one. area is hard and tender (in and out of nostril). not visible from outside. what can this be?

Vestibulitis: Superficial infection of inner lining of alar nasi (nasal tip) probably caused by irritation while using nasal spray.  Light application of Neosporin 1-2 times inside the nostril for a few days usually ease the pain associated with inflammation.

at night one nostril clogs. no other symptoms. have deviated septum. keep home very clean (dusting, heavy vacuum, air purifier). i do have seasonal allergies. tried: nasacort, xyzal, saline, allegra d.possible nose is dried out from meds?other ideas?

Inflammation/exam: Since you have a deviated septum, one nasal passage may be smaller and obstructs more easily in response to inflammation. Nasal saline, cool air mist and trying another steroid spray such as Flonase AQ instead may be used. ENT follow up recommended. There are higher volume delivery systems for nasal saline available. Avoid pollen exposure by keeping windows closed.

why is my sinus infection not getting better? i was prescribed augmentin 14 tablets & 1 tablet every 12 hours. im down to my last two tablets but i still have really bad sinus pressure, sneezing, runny nose & congestion. allegra d isnt working?

: Many cases of sinusitis do not respond to antibiotics; often due to viruses or to allergy, i.e. no infection at all. Follow up with your doctor. If any doubt about the diagnosis or best treatment, ask about possible referral either to an otolaryngologist (ENT specialist) or allergy specialist. Good luck.
