Relax: Blue veins on underside of tongue are normal.  As to necrotizing fasciitis, in over 50 years of dental training and practice I have not heard of even one case.  Your sublingual pain, however, should be investigated.  Scores of possible answers.  See your Dentist or an Oral Medicine specialist for examination.

Obstructing salivary: stones can occur in the drainage duct of the salivary gland under the tongue.  to treat it, suck on a lemon which stimulates the drainage of the gland and the duct which will expel the stone. if it doesn't work, you may need to see an ENT physician

Trauma or ulcers...: Most common causes or unilateral pain "on" the tongue are trauma from burn, bites, cuts, or dentistry, or ulcer--aphthous, or herpetic.  Most commonly it is one sided.

Tongue hurts: Usually the side of the tongue hurts when it has been bitten or there is an irritation, such as hot foods or liquids or reflux of stomach acid into the mouth. If you see a thick coating on your tongue, gargle with warm salt water frequently. If the irritation persists, go see your primary healthcare provider -- you may have a fungal infection.

i have pain on the right side of my tongue hurts to eat. is there anything to dull the pain?

OTC pain meds: Work pretty well. Alternate Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen  taking care not to exceed the newly revised daily maximum for either med. If it persists more than 2-3 days, schedule an exam and get it looked it, just to be sure.

Unsure: This can't be diagnosed with the information that is available. A history, physical examination &amp; other studies may be needed to determine cause/causes.

Could be...: ...traumatic lesion, scratch, cut, blocked salivary duct, or one of dozens of other causes.  If you smoke or abuse alcohol the problem may be even more serious.  You need to be physically examined, palpated, and possibly x-rayed.  Please see your Dentist or an Oral Surgeon.

See doctor: This may be a viral infection. But without seeing you I do not really know what is is. Talk to your parents about all of your symptoms and  ask them to schedule an appointment with your dentist or doctor and get this checked.

Get checked: and examined for glossitis- an inflammation of the tongue itself.

Difficult : Difficult to tell what those bumps might be sight unseen. Have you been to a dentist recently?

Your wisdom tooth may be putting pressure in that area, causing discomfort when you swallow. Also, your molar may be chipped, causing an irritation on your tongue. This can also manefest itself as pain on swallowing.

If you get checked out by a dentist and it is not tooth related, then see your physician.
