in my last appointment i told doc i can't sleep much and i get tired did blood test now follow up they say, what could have they found in blood test  that they needed to do a follow up appointment ?

Accepted Answer

Many things: First, it could be normal.  If that's the case, then they needed to re-evaluate why you're having this sleeping problem.  If there was something "abnormal" on the test, it could be many things like mild anemia, thyroid hormone being high or low, or some electrolyte issue.

if my hemoglobin level is 11 am i considered anemic or not?i often feel dizzy especially in the night and very tired all blood test were okay.

Accepted Answer

Low Hb: Your hemoglobin in lower than normal. The lower limit for a women is 12 gm. Are you losing too much blood during your periods? It would be prudent to consult your doctor. In the mean time you may take oral iron supplements and multivitamin tablets.

my platelets have been at 478 and wbc at 13 for a year. im healthy but tired. bmb, blood test, pap, mammogram good. what can it be.

There are several: Reasons for tiredness . Tirerdness alone is a very non specific symptoms that does not give much of clue as to what is wrong . There are certain areas that needs to be looked at including good sleep and adequate diet and exercise . The blood work you have are great but they do not assure that everything is ok . They are merely indicative of certain areas . Please check with your doc  if not well.

Fatigue after blood: test.  Drink some extra fluids--water, not juice or soda.  If it continues, see your doc.  Peace and good health.  A blood draw can be stressful.

is it normal to feel tired after a blood test?  what should someone usually do if this happens?

Accepted Answer

No: The typical blood test (meaning just test for blood cell count) draws only a few mls of blood which is almost immediately replaced with no impact. You may be tired beecause of something else (if this was the first time you had blood drawn from you, your level of fear or anxiety could have caused you to feel tired; rule out other causes first)

i have pressure in my left temple, pressure behind my eye, pain in my left ear, tired and fuzzy. blood test normal, go can't find anything, what wrong?

You need to...: ... keep gong back and working with your doctor until you have an answer. The most worrisome thing is that you have multiple symptoms that are localized to the same area: the left side of your head. In my opinion, MR imaging should be done. Excluding some type of growth or blood vessel problem in this part of your head is important.  Good wishes:)

i had a blood test last month & it showed that the normal range for calcium is 8.9-10.3. my level was at 8.9 is that considered deficient since its just barely on the right level? would this level be the cause for some extreme tiredness some days?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, while you are unlikely to be deficient you may wish to take Vitamin D3, 2000 units/day and over the counter calcium supplement for long term bone health.

Question?: I don't see an actual question here but am glad you are getting help from your doc.  Menopause can manifest in many ways, including emotional ones.  You might find suzanne somers book about hormone replacement therapy interesting.  Peace and good health.

i have hypercalcemia symptoms - loss of appetite, confusion, tiredness, dizziness, after taking d3 supplements. is hypercalcemia possible if blood test results show normal calcium levels?

Accepted Answer

: Your symptoms can be seen in a variety of medical conditions and short of a lab error, you do not have hypercalcemia, if calcium is normalized for albumin level. Seeing your doc without self diagnosing or self treating would be best at this point.

Find another cause: We don't know what blood test you have and what your symptoms are.You may have chronic fatigue syndrome or something else can not say without knowing more information.Discuss what are the possibiolities with your doctor.
