You might have fever, shooting pain with looking down, weakness in arms or legs. If things do not improve with OTC anti-inflammatories and rest, then time to see your doctor.

Of course you can!: Don't let yourself suffer like this. The infection that you experienceD, is not caused by the chicken. It is caused by  bacteria. Therefore, if you prepare the chicken appropriately and you wash your hands, there is no reason why you can't eat chicken after you have typhoid. Bon appetite!

Cyst: Could be an infected sebaceous cyst.  The sebaceous glands are alongside hair follicles.  Sometimes they get blocked and infection can occur.  Try warm compresses and see your doctor.

doctor did neck exam, said she felt fullness in front of neck, she said its from weight gain, does this sound right? worried she missed something. thyroid blood work was normal. there are no lumps or bumps either? i am overweight?

: The doctor who examined you is in a better position to provide an informed opinion than is feasible in this forum. I tend to agree with her suggestion. You should try to get your BMI to be less than 25.

This : This may be suggestive of a thyroglossal duct cyst , particularly if there has been a history of fluctuating size, isolated midline or near midline structure, and elevates with swallowing. An ultrasound or ct scan of the neck is often helpful if this is suspected. A more thorough history and physical exam is always a good starting point.
