: Rather than kidney pathology you're more likely dealing with a muscular discomfort and/or an irritable superficial nerve in the left low back. A pinched nerve root by a bulging disc or spur on a verterbra is another possibility but symptoms are usually stronger.  . A nerve or irritable superficial nerve issue should resolve quickly. If symptoms persist see your physician for evaluation and testing

every time right before my period begins, i get a brief but painful sensation in my left kidney area. its only right before my period. is there any correlation? thanks?

Possibly: You could possibly have endometriosis, a condition where there is uterine tissue in areas outside of the uterus. It would bleed samosas your uterus does with monthly cycle, but has no way to escape the body, and the pain/symptoms you describe could develop. You must have a good exam and may need some imaging to see if the condition exists. Once verified, a good OB/GUN can discuss treatment options

slight discomfort in upper back, such as a poking sensation. ultrasound said that the entrance to the left kidney was a bit inflamed, no kidney stone was able to be located? what can it be?

: As a nephrologist, I have not read an US report as such and I am not sure that statement is included in the official report. US is not a reliable tool for detecting stone beyond the renal pelvis. I assume you had urinalysis done before the ultrasound. If blood is present (hematuria) CT for stone protocol should be done. I doubt pyelonephritis because you would be more symptomatic. Good luck.

i need to know why i'm in pain from the left kidney and radiating down to the left side of the scrotum. occasional burning sensation during urination.

You : You may have a kidney stone.  The pain from a kidney stone commonly is off-center in the back, and radiates to the groin (along the path of the ureter).  Blood in the urine is another common sign.  I changed the category to urology, so perhaps a urologist can give you more complete information.  Feel better.

LB tingling: May be from spine-sciatica like.  ganglion cyst or even kidney, ovary , lymph nodes or colon.rarely MS. NSAIDS if not allergic may help but be evaluated to rule out ovary kidney/ colon may consider CT of abodmen f/u/ w/ doc

4 months having pins pain tingling dizziness  and numbness all over body. now have vibration in my left ankle and burning sensation in lower back. i noticed it gets worse when i turn my head/back down?

Sciatica : You may have a condition called sciatica which occurs when the nerve going to your leg is pinched as it comes out of the spine to give the pain down the leg and back. Have your primary care doctor check it out to make sure your leg muscles are not getting weaker because of the nerve problem. This doctor can refer you to the appropriate specialist you need to see. Please get this checked out.

hi. i have lower back pain and a strange tingling sensation in my lower back just to the left of my spine near my bottom which shoots down my left leg and makes my knee give way. what could this be?
i lift heavy things at work which doesn't help.

Sciatica: Sciatica is a nerve root  compression issue that can be caused by spinal problems that include a bulging or compressive disc, injury or destruction of the bony elements of the spinal bones, dislocation of the spinal bones that causes compression on the nerve roots, scoliosis of varying degrees, and even just being overweight with a big belly ! See an orthopedist or chiropractor to get an idea

Tingling: Tingling on both sides, in the face, and in an arm means there is no one location or side of the brain that is causing it. Tingling is an indication of irritation to nerves (or neuropathy), which can be from a metabolic problem (Eg, very low calcium) or from a diffuse skin problem causing the itching (such as hives or urticaria). Hyperventilation (breathing too fast) can cause tingling too.

See your doctor.: Most of the time lower back pain is unrelated to the kidneys.  I recommend a visit to your primary care physician who can take a detailed history, examine you, and order necessary imaging and lab tests to discover the cause of your pain.  Hope you feel better.
