Rather than kidney pathology you're more likely dealing with a muscular discomfort and/or an irritable superficial nerve in the left low back. A pinched nerve root by a bulging disc or spur on a verterbra is another possibility but symptoms are usually stronger. . A nerve or irritable superficial nerve issue should resolve quickly. If symptoms persist see your physician for evaluation and testing
