walking 2 weeks ago & felt pinch on outside of right foot. thin, 1" dark line has been there ever since, slightly below & outside my pinky toe. no pain but tingling/numbness in pinky toe area. not a bite or splinter. thoughts?

: A pinch, followed by a thin dark line on the foot could be any number of things including a sting, scratch or cut. The important thing is that it be evaluated in person by someone who can assess and treat the foot for swelling, ulceration, unusual coloration and other tell tale signs of infection/toxins. If the numbness persists, it may be prudent to do some blood tests.

Couple of things: Often times injury with swelling will cause some twitching of the toe.  Tight shoes can create spasms of the muscles due to the pressure.

Emollients & Pads: Corns are a body's way of responding to constant pressure over a bony area. Therefore, shoe modifications like gel and foam pads are great. Wider shoes with an added bit of emollients like vit a & d oint. Finally, surgery to remove the bony prominence.

This depends: On how much of the nail was broken, if there is an infection or any swelling etc. 
Usually with antibiotic and bandaid, assuming the broken part was taken off and no infection present one week or less.

Pain, swelling: And bruising after some type of "whacking" to the toe.  If it hurts to press on it and to bend it also, it probably is broken. As long as it is only in the toe and not in the foot, you can support it by wearing stiff soled shoes and taping it to the next toe.

See below: As long as there is no deformity just splint it to the toe next to it with a piece of cotton between the toes to hold the toe in position to heal.

Pain, swelling: The signs of injury are swelling, bruising, pain and tenderness to touch.  The only way to tell if a toe is broken, is an x ray.

About 2 weeks: It depends on how big a break it is.  If it is out of place may need surgery. If it is simple break, usually tolerable after 2 weeks, fully healed by one month unless you have diabetes or circulatory problem.
