:   St. Augustine grass is found in tropical and subtropical areas. It is known as buffalo grass in Australia and South Africa. Timothy grass is found in temperate areas, mostly in Europe except in the Mediterranean region.  Yes there is a difference.

: Apparently you have figured out the diagnosis and don't need to test for it.  If you know the terrain around you and can avoid Augustine grass, that would be idea.  Meanwhile you can try OTC anti allergic medication like chlorpromazine (side effect is sleepiness).  This can be highly effective.  Otherwise you might see an allergist rather than an ENT doctor.

Brain dysfunction: snowy vision is caused by brain dysfunction in the right lingual gyrus. It is seen in patients  with persistent migraine aura. It can also be seen with optic neuritis caused by MS. Often no obvious cause is identified.

Central vision defec: The center of vision is concerned with the macula of the eye.  This problem requires an examination by an opthalmalogist to determine what is happening to the macula portion of the retina.

Much less active: But sometimes they are active. Not only cold weather, but also winter clothing means that ticks are rarely a problem in winter. Remain alert to the risk if you venture into bushes, tall grasses, etc.
