hi, my husband has fluid filled nodules inside his thyroid. what causes these? are there natural remedies we can try to reduce or get rid of these?

Cyst : Thyroid cyst s are not uncommon but are innocuous and usually do not cause any problems. They are usually small and it is only if they become large that removal may be necessary if they cause pressure problems

Calcifications: Calcifications are red flags for thyroid cancers. Need US guided bx, if you have not already had. CT scan scan with contrast indicated.

i have nodules in my thyroid and my t4 is a bit high but tsh is normal. i take medicine now but sometimes i feel weak and i feel a fluid sensation in my neck. should i be worried about these? i will go another doctr?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.  Wish you good health!

Node: Because is small and not increasing in size, is beningn node ,and if become larger see your doctor to  remove it.

See a specialist: See an endocrinologist who deals with thyroid nodules.  You may need a needle biopsy/aspiration of the cyst/nodule, but it depends on what it looks like on ultrasound.

throid nodules. upper right lobe hot, lower right lobe cold 3.4cm. does that mean i have hyper and hypo thyriodism at the same time?

No: the only way to know is to check your blood test.  the hot nodule  is probably causing you to be hyperthyroid but only labs can tell you that. You will need to see your doc to biopsy the cold nodule. It's has a higher risk of cancer if it's cold. Keep in mind most cold nodules are still benign but in your case, it should be biopsied since it's a large, cold nodule.

Depends: It depends on the cell type on how serious it is, you need to have an ultrasound guided biopsy for tissue.  Then your physician will be able to tell you how serious they or it is.

Maybe serious: Thyroid nodules comprise many types, but can generally be classified by way of a thyroid uptake scan as hot or cold.  By definition a cold nodule or not active nodule is more bothersome as thyroid cancers are often not active, but can be active.  Generally a not active or cold nodule is biopsied unless extremely tiny.  A hot nodule might be biposied, but many factors have to be considered.

Depends on size: You might not feel anything if it's small.  Otherwise, it could feel like a lump, a node and if it's big enough, it can feel like a growth/mass on your neck.  If it's liquid, like a cyst, it could be soft.  If it's a solid growth, it could be rubbery and if it's calcified, it could have a rock/hard feel to it.

Varies: Nodules may be visible lumps beneath the surface or invisible ones in the body of the organ, that may be palpable by trained fingers. Ultrasound & radionuclide scans are used to visualize & help characterize them. See doc for thyroid blood tests & follow-up imaging studies if needed.
