Comprehensive ...: Better to see PCP and have a comprehensive History, Physical, labs and appropriate Imaging studies to have exact diagnosis of what seems to be a recurrence of Symptoms. Then see the specific Specialists like Gastroenterologist or Infectious Disease  Consult as the case may be.

4 documented thrush?: Nystatin is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, mouth, vagina, and intestinal tract. Mycostatin (nystatin) is a ready mixed oral suspension containing 100,000 units Nystatin per ml. Don't self medicate please.

i  esophageal thrush i was taking medicine to treat it but i had to stop the medicine because i was allergic to it i seem to be getting worse why?

Yeast: "thrush" is a yeast infection of the throat and esophagus. This is usually treated with a topical "swish and swallow" agent.If you can't take this , there are other systemic (whole body) treatments. Your doctor should be able to direct your care. Good luck.

Yes : Esophageal thrush can be an extension of oral thrush as a result being on antibiotics or some sort of immune compromised state . It is usually difficult to swallow , causing pain . Treatment is with oral Nystatin to coat the esophagus and Diflucsn

Esophageal thrush: Typically 'thrush' or candidal infection will melt away when given the right antifungal medication.  Sometimes, however, the fungus can be 'resistant' to the first line of treatment.  (Just like 'smart' bacteria getting 'round antibiotics).  If there isn't a good response within several days, time to think of resistance. Of course correcting the problems that contributed to thrush would help too.

A few days.: Given your non-immunocompromised status, I feel that you should be getting some improvement within 3 to 5 days, although that certainly depends on the severity of the initial thrush infection. If you are not seeing any relief after 7 to 10 days, I would contact your gastroenterologist. Good luck.

: Because nystatin can't5 stay in contact with the esophageal surface long enough, nor is the esophagus able to absorb the drug like mucous membranes in the mouth can. Esophagitis is a more deeply-seated infection that can only be reached via the bloodstream

how can i convince er triage to keep me to do a complete mycology/fungus test on me, my kidneys are tender and i have oral&esophageal thrush.

Not a triage test: This is not really something done in an emergency room. You should see your doctor and discuss all of you symptoms and your concerns.

No,interaction: There is no significant drug drug interaction here. Take your Meds and get better.
As a male,with oral,thrush , have a serious talk with your doc regarding how you got the thrush. If this was due to sexual transmission, your partner needs treatment as well.
