: You need a doctor to examine  the bumps to determine what they are. There are many possibilities like a skin abscess or a cyst or lipoma, etc. If your doctor cannot determine what these are, , you could see a dermatologist. Once a diagnosis is made, they can be treated, if needed. Good luck!

This phenomenon has basis on the ability of muscle and soft tissues to expand and swell beyond their maximal internal volume exceeding the capacity of connective tissue to bind them.  The result is strangulation and eventual baronecrosis of the compressed fascial compartment.   The condition leads to fatal  myoglobinuria.

Close Observation: That nail went through many layers of tissue and each layer heals at a different rate.  Skin heals quickly,  the deep tough connective tissues takes a lot longer. Minimize strenuous activity for at least a week and progress slowly. There is no way to prevent infection so forget antibiotics.  Observe and get help for fevers, increasing redness/drainage/pain.  Your tetanus is ok for 5 more years.
