Maybe: Your appendix is in that area as well.  If you experience increasing pain or any GI symptoms such a nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, you should be seen.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation.  Irregular menstrual bleeding also will require an evaluation. The color of blood is usually not significant

Yes: or other Ovarian process such as cyst, endometriosis or other possibilities. Needs evaluation, expect to get examined and have an ultrasound of your pelvis at a minimum.

i believe i had an ovarian cyst rupture last night after intercourse. the pain was unbearable! today my ovaries are throbbing. should i go to the er?

I IncystYouBeCareful: With rupture some blood leaks out. Sometimes more than "some." Sometimes it can be a lot. And blood in that area can irritate the tissues and cause that pain and throbbing. Now, other things can happen down there too, like the ovary twisting, so it's probably a good idea to have it checked out unless the pain starts subsiding considerably over the next 6 to 12 hours, same if you feel dizzy.

Pelvic pain: Your symptoms could be due to either ovulation pain or ovarian cysts. Midcycle or ovulation pain is completely benign and should subside within a few days. Ovarian cysts are benign and mostly functional cysts. They are prevalent in women of reproductive age. If your symptoms worsen or do not subside within a few days, I would advise you to see your primary care doctor for further evaluation.

Cramping: Cramping pain is very common for women during their period. Most women use ibuprofen. If the pain is persistent or gets worse than you should have it checked out by a doctor.

Ovary: Ovarian cyst would be likely, however It would be wise to check a home pregnancy test to make sure not ectopic. Infection or other problems with gu, GI or even blood vessel problem.

Maybe: Dermoids may occur in the remaining ovary or on the other side, so best plan is early diagnosis with a pelvic ultrasound.  It could also be infection or another issue as well, so an evaluation that includes cultures a good idea.
