red lump and bumps behind the arch of the throat right at the back in each corner but not symmetrical. seen by paramedic she thinks its normal throat anatomy. is it normal? no symptoms but looks like a pimple on one side and flesh lumps on the other?

: Visual findings , are poorly dealt with using words . 
But as described, no alarms go off.

But if painful for days seek care. 
If heavy smoker , or tobacco dipper 
Make very sure it resolves , over a couple weeks .

my parents ignore me when i tell them i have a hard lump on my neck that causes swallowing and yawning pain. they say its a lymph node or normal anatomy even though its to the side and they can see and feel it. what do i do?? i have no one to help?

: Most likely your parents are right. This doesn't sound serious. If you remain concerned, why not see your school nurse? The nurse should be able to reassure you, or to assist in more comprehensive medical evaluation if s/he thinks it necessary.

Risk vs Benefit: Make sure there is good medical necessity before more tests using ionizing radiation. Ct carries the highest dose.

But, the risk of the current medical problem may easily outweigh the potential future risk.

Almost all data is from nuclear incidents with much higher radiation in 1 large dose.  It is difficult to calculate risk at low levels used in x-rays and ct over months/yrs.

Probably not: The signs and symptoms of TMJ include limited jaw movement, pain and/or noises on opening or closing, sore muscles above and below the joint, but not usually throat pain.

Possibly: If the front of your neck is tender to touch you might HAV a form of thyroiditis. See a thyroidologist.

Throat discomfort: This can be from acid reflux and can also cause nausea, but may also be post nasal drip from nasal allergies. Depending on other symptoms you have, the treatment differs.

Throat mass: There are a lot of things that this could be.  The first step is to have it evaluated so that you know what it is.  Removal would obviously depend on what it is.  The specialist who deals with masses of the throat is an ear, nose and throat specialist or an otolaryngologist-head and neck surgery.  Best of luck to you.

See a doctor: Unclear by history, but depending on where the lump is, it may be an enlarged thyroid (if at bottom of neck). Could be any number of things, possibly concerning in light of size of mass and firmness, especially if you smoke. If your neck was fused, a pressure sensation in the throat is very common, and you could have some fibrosis / scarring (small price to pay for healthier spine).

4 weeks and can't eat solids.  food get stuck in throat.  feels like there's something there all he time. food feels stuck in front of throat. wctb?

Dysphagia: Sounds like you had or have scheduled a barium swallow.  That's a great first step for this problem.  If that doesn't provide an answer, get a referral to ENT for 'laryngoscopy' of throat and possibly 'esophagoscopy' of food passage.  Really can't say what is causing this common symptom without taking a look.
