Heterotopic: ossif can occur from muscle or joint periarticular swelling or inflammation.  Speak to your surgeon about whether medications or radiation may be indicated to  reduce or limit its effects. Much depends upon the extent, the depth and the regions involved i.e. which muscle planes are affected,how that influences motion, how far away or close to the joint.  Gentle therapy and ROM  can help

Getting black?: What is meant by getting black? If toes are truly getting black then this is a medical emergency i.E gangrene and you need to see a vascular doctor asap.

Maybe but: This may be Hamstring but it does not exactly correspond to the injury you describe. However this could be your protective maneuvers to try to prevent injury from the fall.

wore spanx underwear and they made the crease of my right groin and thigh sore. that evening, i felt a small lump under the skin in the same area. four days later, soreness is gone but lump remains. lump is harder to find when laying down. help!

Spanx &amp; Lumps: Spanx are very constricting and if ill fitted can cut off the blood and lymphatic flow through the inguinal (groin) area. Additionally, any hair follicles that are compressed by the elastic of the Spanx can cause a low grade bacterial infection (folliculitis).  There are lymph nodes in that area that will enlarge when that occurs. If the "lump" is still present in 10 days, see a MD for assessment.

Yes.: You can strain/tear a hamstring and not have the bruising. What your describing sure sounds like a hamstring strain. It will heal, but will probably require physical therapy to restore good function.

Mgt: The D Dimer and chest radiograph may not be fully accurate in the diagnosis of a thrombosis or embolism. With your symptoms, I would advise having a V/Q scan of your chest and another ultrasound of your lower extremities including upper legs.
Other imaging can include a chest CT. Do you have any shortness of breath or other respiratory symptoms.

Thigh soreness: Thigh soreness is most commonly the result of a muscle injury to the big quadriceps muscle. There are other big nerves and blood vessels in this area and also hernias can develop here as well. Depending on the severity and duration of the symptoms and if there are any pulsations or masses associated, you may benefit from an exam. Hope this helps!

can i exercise when my thighs are sore from a previous workout?

Be mindful: It depends on how sore they are.  If it's mild soreness so that you just notice it, it's not likely a problem.  If the soreness is severe, and you are having problems walking, then obviously you should take it easy.  Remember you are a minor, so you should be reviewing this with your parents too.
