i have had yellow/coated tongue for 4 months & have done everything to get rid of it and it still comes back everyday. any advice or pills that work?

Unclear diagnosis: At your age, and if healthy, there is no reason for you to have thrush in the mouth unless your immune system is not working well or you use meds that can cause that, or you use steroids like for asthma. Have it evaluated first to make sure of the diagnosis, and if so why?

Liver issue?: If all of your labs, ultrasound, and CT scan are completely normal, why are you concerned about a possible liver issue? Is there more to the story than you have shared with us? i was flagyl for diverticulitis now 2 days after finishing it i have a bad taste in my mouth that reminds me of strep. i also have a white/yellow coated tongue. my throat is also a little scratchy. could this be thrush?

Nonspecific: Tongue coating is very nonspecific and sometimes related to digestive issues, but on many occasions there  is no pathology. I wouldn't be concerned about it if you have no symptoms. Use your toothbrush to wipe it away.  Your dentist may have more advice for you.

Thrush: The most common cause of the symptoms you describe is thrush. This is a yeast infection that typically occurs after prolonged or frequent antibiotic use but can happen for a variety of reasons, such as in patients who's immune system is weak and diabetics. Visit an ENT doctor. The treatment is usually a medicated mouthwash.

Probably normal: Probably just normal and nothing to be concerned about.  If you want to be 100% sure about that, you will have to have your dentist actually take a look at it.

Yes: a white coating on your tongue that can't be scraped off and particularly doesn't respond to antifungals may have several other etiologies, but one of the other really common possibilities is gastroesophageal reflux, which can be significant even if you don't have heartburn.  I would get that checked out, and if not the case, see a dermatologist
