May be: It does not necessarily mean that you have chlamydia or gonorrhea, you could have had cystitis ( infection of the bladder), urinary tract infection, but chlamydia is still a possibity, specially if you are sexually active and have not used barrier protection( condom) during intercourse.

No: You can have WBC in the urin from the urethra or the vagina with or without an infection.

Time to check again: A person who has been on Ciprofloxacin for 5 days for a pelvic infection but has worsening symptoms such a worsening pain generally has to return to her doctor to get rechecked. Questions are why are there worse symptoms? Does the medication need to be changed? Is there a second problem? The ER can help if a patient cannot reach her own doctor.

Confirm UTI? Or STD?: It sounds like the culture just confirmed your UTI. However, UTIs are uncommon in males your age. Are you sure it wasn't a urine test for gonorrhea or chlamydia? These STDs, or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) are often misdiagnosed as UTI and are much more common. Check back with your doctor.

See below: Does he drink much caffeine (coffee/tea/colas /soda pop)? It acts like water pill (diuretic); so it can increase need to pee as well as cause potassium loss. 33 y/o is young for prostate problems, but possible. Is there family history of enlarged prostate or cancer at early age? May need test for chlamydia. Should also be tested for diabetes.

Hopefully : Hopefully the doctor took a sample of your urine and sent it to the lab for a urine culture. The reason this is done is to obtain identification and sensitivity results. This means that the type of bacteria causing the infection will be identified and the antibiotics that will work to erradicate the bacteria will also be identified, a well as those that will not work. 
I do not recommend you take amoxicillin. I suggest you call the doctor and inform them of your continued symptoms. Hopefully the culture was sent and the appropriate antibiotic can be started. If not then your doctor will likely send out a urine culture and start you another antibiotic and adjust accordingly.

Sonogram and ?: CT scans can miss gallstones and pancreatitis.  Gallstones are best imaged by ultrasound which can be used to look at the liver and pancreas as well.  However, US is not good at diagnosing pancreatitis.  A Lipase blood test is a better tool for pancreatitis.

: When lower urinary tract infections are treated quickly &amp; properly there are rarely complications. However serious complications such as kidney infection &amp; damage can occur without proper treatment. Drink a lot of water &amp; consult your treating physician immediately if symptoms recur. Continue Rx and f/u: If there is obstruction and infection with kidney stone it is a potentially serious even life threatening problem.  Both the obstruction and infection need to be treated and eliminated. US or other imaging can diagnose and confirm resolution of obstruction. F/u urine testing and culture can diagnose and confirm resolution of infection.
