two of my right teeth in front of the two back teeth hurt only when i chew/put pressure on them. i had a checkup/x-ray today and i had no cavities. could i have cracked teeth though? i mean i chew hard candy and clench my jaw in my sleep?

: The filling in cavity was probably deep      and close to the nerve .As time went on the nerve became infected from the deep cavity and pain resulted. The nerve is dying and a root canal is necessary in order to save the tooth, make sure you have a crown placed after root canal is finished.

: Multiple posts of the same issue. If the vitality test indicates that the tooth is non-vital, it needs root canal therapy. All other symptoms or prior history is irrelevant.

root canal/permanent crown work completed 6 wks ago. crown hurts with dull pain when tapped. return to dentists for xray and gums check. no issues per dentist except teeth grinding. no other teeth hurt. any suggestions please? no issues prior to this?

: Pain is a warning sign,  it is likely there's inflamation at the end of the tooth which has been root canal treated. Was the tooth comfortable after the root canal and before the crown was made? If it was it may be incorrect occlusion. Recheck

tooth #14 and #15 need new crowns. have pocketing which is going to be corrected with laser. when the gum hurts in between those teeth #19 on lower also hurts. x-ray at perio showed nothing obvious on #19 which has an old root canal. referred pain?

: It appears that it is referred pain through the trigeminal nerve which has multiple branches, especially since the pain on #19 only occurs when #14/15 hurt.

last week i got a tonsillectomy now the left side of my mouth itches (teeth & gums)and hurts x-ray came neg for abscess what is it? hurts to bite.

Displaced TMJ disc: During procedure when they had your mouth wide open for the precedure, the disc may have displaced and your bite is now off causing pain when your teeth meet.  If the itchy teeth and gums are only in the upper teeth could be dis location is pressing on a ligament
Do you hear any new noises when you open and close? Hearing slightly diminished? See your dentist for TMJ eval;avoid hard foods

xray shows slight gray area around tooth, however that tooth doesn' hurt, pain is in the one next to it.  can pain be referred ? treat which tooth?

See endodntist: Diagnosis can be challenging and complicated due to pain from one tooth may be referred from another tooth or from other orofacial structures. Endodontists are trained to differentiate between pain of endodontic origin and non-ondodontic pain.

hi i have toothache for a few days but x-ray didn't show anything. it's now become painful when i touch the tooth and hurts when i drink hot and cold.

You have an infectio: n and should see a dentist.  May require special x-rays to see or just an exam.  Don't delay as an infection could spread or you could lose a tooth.  Good luck!

went to dentist because i had lump on outside of gum near root canal on the back monlar they xray said teeth still ok have me on tablets metronide?

Possible reinfection: If the root canal was recently completed, the lump may very well be part of the healing process from the original infection. If the root canal was done awhile ago, then the tooth may have become re-infected and will require more care than just a dose of antibiotics.  There are numerous reasons why the tooth re-infected, but there is insufficient info, but hopefully it is treatable! Good luck!

the surgeon that removed my wisdom teeth completed it in 15 minutes, did an xray after because he was nervous he injured me, said everything was fine, and sent me home. turns out, he cracked my jaw all the way through. could i sue for malpractice?
