Unlikely: If your kidneys are good, you will, excrete extra.
Would take a basketful of tomatoes to affect!
even taking potassium pills, it is slow to raise potassium in the situation of normal kidneys.

Hyperkalemia: Your elevated K+ level is not from over eating potassium. The underlying reason should be explored. First have test repeated since its usually due to thrombocytosis (clotting) and hemolysis from poor technique, other reasons may be kidney failiure (ATN), rhabdomyolysis, tumor lysis syn., hypocalcemia or medication side effect (including digitalis toxicity). Insist on finding out why and get retest

Why is it low?: Do you know why is it low? 
Is it because you're on medicines that artificially lower it? There are rare genetic conditions that can lower potassium?

Or was this a random lab finding. If it was a random finding, realize potassium levels can fluctuate moment to moment. Also machines have error too. If its borderline low, don't go nuts with a high potassium diet. 
If it's markedly low, talk to doc!

: No, it is not true. Propranolol can rarely cause mild increase in blood potassium (mild hyperkalemia) but even when it happens it is not danger unless you have severely weak kidney function. You should not worry about your food intake when you take this medication if your kidney function is decent.

: Assuming your renal function is normal and you have not had a problem with high blood K in the past probably no problem.  But if it is a problem can kill you. Discuss with your Dr who knows the details.  Most with HTN should be on the DASH eating plan which lowers BP as well as most single meds but everyone is different. Discuss. Use the app Cronometer to track you Na and K intake. Share with Dr.

wisdom teeth removed 45hrs ago. been taking ani bibiotic + panadine fort + anti nausea. keep vomiting. only thing i won't vomit is tomato soup. why??

May be a reaction: to the antibiotic.Hold both meds and use the anti nausea Rx only.After 45 minutes,try small sips of gatoraid/pedialyte .Notift dentist in AM.
