Knee pain: It sounds as if you may have something wrong with your meniscus or cartilage in your knee.  Did you have an injury to your knee.  I suggest you see your doctor so they can do an examination and check all the other ligaments and tendons.  Also you may need a MRI of your knee.

It : It definitely sounds like you need an mri. This will show any tendon or ligament damage. See your doctor. He/she will exam you, order an x-ray first then decide on an mri. If possible see an orthopedist. If not your doctor will refer you after doing preliminary tests.

Possible Cause: This could be from possible exercise induced compartment syndrome if it is in your lower legs.  I would recommend good hydration, lower leg strengthening and if it is very painful that actually stops you from activities you would like to do then consider seeing a specialist like myself or do compartment testing.

Not sacroiliac: Sacroiliac joint problems don't produce those types of symptoms. Pelvic, muscular, or ligament problems are more likely. Has your gynecologist cleared you of all pelvic problems? Do you recall any strain type injuries of the lower abdomen or groin?  Does your left hip bother you? If symptoms persist repeat evaluation and examination of these areas are needed.

Sounds like you mig-: Ht be having a knee joint problem, where knee gives way under you, making you stumble or fall.
You need to be seen by an orthopod and would require a detailed examination + MRI to be properly diagnosed and treated.

Severe OA: This, is typical of severe degenerative changes to your knee. Please see an orthopoedist or PMR doc for a full eval. There are many treatments which can help decrease your symptoms such as physical therapy, topical NSAIDS (Voltaren gel), off weight loading braces, injections, peripheral nerve stim, and knee replacement surgery. Further workup : May need further workup.  Have you seen a rheumatologist?  There are many other potential causes.  Psoriasis is one example.  A percentage of patients with psoriasis will have an associated inflammatory arthritis, and it is characterized by diffuse swelling in the fingers.  There are many other possibilities as well.

i have mild leg weakness. i find when i'm tired it seems worse and becomes hard to do activities such as climbing stairs. is this expected? any advice

Yes, with weakness -: Your symptoms will get worse. 
One needs to determine why do you have weakness in the first place?
Se your pcp to be evaluated/investigated ; treated. Any infective condition ( with viral being rather common) will give you generalized weakness; a back issue with pinched nerve will probably give a one-sided weakness; or it could be due to a local soft tissue or bony lesions. Might need an orthopod.
