Some chemo therapies really cause profound decreases in the white blood cells and this can be battled with medicines such as Neulasta (pegfilgrastim) or neupogen. There will be peaks and valleys in your white cell counts. When low, stay away from crowds and sick people and uncooked foods.

Maintain a good weight! avoid stress, which weakens your immune system-this is true for both physical and emotional stress! make sure you get adequate nutrition. I do recommend supplemental zinc (50mg). But even doing all of these, if your genetics are wrong, you still may be prone to autoimmune disease!

Varies: Some decrease in immune system persists after the corticosteroids leave your body, but in clinical practice some patients never lose immunity strength while others develop infections after being on them. In my opinion It's best to assume diminished immunity for weeks after discontinuing those corticosteroids and instruct patients to pay extra attention to any suspicious symptoms during those weeks

Still abnormal: Lupus in remission does not equal normal immune seem. Unfortunately, the system is now primed to react to various proteins in the blood, and the disease pattern will be heterogenous. Good medical care can substantially reduce the morbidity associated with lupus so even if you feel reasonably well you need to keep up with your physicians!

It's  source of Ener: Fat just like other 2 main nutrients of our diet(Carbohydrates and Proteins) is a source of energy to run the body machine. It does not have any specific or selective role for the other functions(immunity, healing of cancer etc) that you have listed. In this reference we can be healthy/ normal with small amounts of Fat intake unless you do physical labor  requiring extra energy.

Consult allergist: Consult an allergist/immunologist  who may consider an immune evaluation on your son before embarking on the appropriate treatment.

Not exactly: Reseveratrol is an anti-oxidant which may help in lowering bad cholesterol and reducing the risk of blood clots.   It does not boost immune function or brain function as far as research has demonstrated.

Accepted Answer

No: The central nervous system relates to the brain and spinal cord.  To reach the targets (skin, muscles, blood vessels, etc) you need the peripheral nervous system.  You would be paralyzed and die without it.
