: Many, many possibilities - “complex regional pain syndrome”, persistent hairline fracture of toe, “premature” osteoarthritis, malposition of tendon, infection of tendon repair, etc, etc.  Need to see Orthopedic or Podiatric surgeon, need complete exam (maybe plus MRI) and proceed from there.

At 7 months, unlikely to heal spontaneously.  At 63 years, may ultimately become very disabling

Leg- heavy &amp; tight: Have you had a history of injury to your leg or ankle? Have you been involved in strenuous activities lately where you used your legs, such as walking, running or biking that was more than usual? 
It is important to see your PCP or Podiatrist right away for a clinical exam. After the clinical evaluation, the doctor can determine if you need to have a Venous Duplex done to rule out a DVT.

See a doctor: You will get a proper evaluation and a diagnosis can be made. Sometimes further testing is necessary. Is range of motion limited or very painful? These are often  noted, however, a tear is not necessarily present with these symptoms.

Stretch: Can do a traditional runners stretch for your calf muscles and tendons, repeat every 30 minutes for 10-15 seconds during the day, wear running shoes.   Do yoga, balancing exercises to help your self.
Bottomline, see a sports podiatrist, who can fully evaluate you to determine the cause of your chronic pain, it might be able to be resolved with in shoe foot orthotics, or surgery  may be needed.

Orthotics: Orthotics will support your arch and reduce pain in the heel, arch and ball of foot. It will also keep the posterior tibial tendon and achilles' tendon from overuse. Otherwise surgical intervention may require lengthen of your achilles' tendon.
