Hives?: Not sure what type of rash you have  but it could be hives or urticaria. It is best to have a doctor look at try identifying the problem.

i'm 6 weeks pregnant and have a head/sinus cold (possibly seasonal allergies). are there any otc meds i can take?  is a neti-pot ok to use?

Yes: Many otc cold and sinus medications are safe, ask your doctor what is best.  The neti-pot is known to increase the risk for severe infections.

for 2 weeks ive been getting a come & go pain on the top/back right side of my head. not a constant headache. im on allergy meds/flonase. i also get on & off sinus pressure. i have a lot of anxiety. based on that,what could the come and go pain be?

Headache:  I am wondering if you might have tension headaches related to your anxiety. The sinus pressure might contribute to pain as well. Your doctor can make an accurate determination through evaluation.

i take zyrtec for skin allergies.  is it safe to take 2 zyrtec, or 1 zyrtec, 1 claritin (loratadine) @ night?  i get no relief with 1 zyrtec.

Zyrtec (cetirizine): antihistamine OTC. The maximum recommended dose of Zyrtec (cetirizine) is 10mg per day. The interesting fact that studies have been shown that there is no advantage between 10 mg to the 20 mg dose of Zyrtec (cetirizine).  Talk to your dermatologist for more information.Hope it helps.

Skin care: bathing with cream soap, moisturizing your skin immediately after, making sure you don't get dry, drink plenty of plain water, try those first,good luck

taking alot of meds. hair is damaged - dry/brittle/oily(need to wash daily/dandruff. does this cause skin allergies? this is the 5th time in 5 mths

See dermatologist: First consider changing the shampoo or conditioner which may be too irritating for your scalp. Iron deficiency can cause hair loss as well.  Since the names of medications are not given, you need to look for potential side effects from the medications also.  It'd be a good idea for you to consult a dermatologist.

is neomycin sulfate a sulfa drug, that would cause an allergy if applied to skin?

: It is possible, but an infection is also a possible cause. Watch for redness, swelling and fever.

i am taking 3 different meds for allergies and zoloft (sertraline)..i had a blood test and skin test without stopping them. did that negate the tests?

Maybe: If you had a positive response to the allergy test, it is probably valid. However, the medications could have interfered with the test to give you a negative result when you are really allergic to something. There are different types of response to an allergen that is often cell-mediated but the process is rather complicated. There have been reported interference due to use of medications.

Yes: You may try it but if the problem is severe , avoidance would be the best answer. Allergy shots often help as well.  At the minimum, keep the cat out of your bedroom.
