Small knots: Do you mean by the size of a pea kind of knot?
It that is the case it is likely to be a ganglion, which is thickening of the surrounding of the tendon.
Usually it stays for long time with no trouble, but at times it might cause discomfort to the patient.
If you mean otherwise, kindly I would like to ask you to post a photo of the wrists for better assessment

Ice: Ice for about 30 minutes 3-4 times per day, will address inflammation and swelling, never apply ice to the skin, always over a towel or clothing. Pain can be relieved  with over-the-counter medications like advil or aleve (naproxen). Follow directions on label. See doctor if problem persists, fluid may be drained.

Sounds inflamed : A painful swollen wrist could be from an injury as a scaphoid non-union, or a ligament injury. It could also be the initial presentation of rheumatoid arthritis.  See an hand surgeon or rheumatologist. You need an x-ray.

synovitis: All of the tendons in your arms are c covered by tenosynovium.  It lubricates them, gives them nutrition. Rarely, the tenosynovium gets inflamed and causes arm pain and numbness.  T the synovium in the carpal tunnel swells and compresses the median nerve =carpal tunnel syndrome. Rest and anti-inflammatory meds are the treatment. Often cortisone is needed.

Tendonitis: First off, the swollen vein may not be significant. The painful wrist can develop from a poor position during sleep, it may subside with immobilization of the joint (an ACE bandage) to limit motion, but not so tight that it may cause swelling of the hand. On the other hand it may go away on its own.

Swelling: Can be lyme, or autoimmune process or strep sequela  or ulnar neuropathy but that would not explain the foot nodules.  Would follow up with  doctor/ urgent care  today

Wrist pain: It sounds like your symptoms are now chronic in nature which is atypical. Both the weakness and swelling are concerning. The question is there an underlying neurologic issue. You may need imaging such as an MRI. I would see a neurologist as soon as possible.

Herpes ?: The symptoms noted are not common for true herpes infections.  If your finger is infected, the swelling and redness extending up the arm is more similar to cellulitis, and should be treated immediately. See your healthcare provider for an exam and treatment.
