Depends on details: Doctor can examine. Throat symptoms often are from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or flu (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies, irritants, or stomach acid reflux. Yes: Antihistamines help, steroids, avoidance of inciting agent/allergen.  One thing to stress is ensuring that this was an allergic reaction, as well as the severity of it.  Just to stress: anytime there is airway involvement - any shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing, stridorous breathing - this is a life-threatening allergic event & you should always seek immediate emergency care & evaluation.

Yes.  : With infectious mononucleosis( a viral illness), commonly there is a very sore throat with enlarged tonsils and white exudate in the crypts. Not uncommonly, this is treated as a strep throat with ampicillin; curiously enough, Ampicillin rx for mono not uncommonly causes a fine red body rash. At any rate, lots of fluids, saline gargles, tylenol, (acetaminophen) and adequate rest. Full time rest not needed.

Stop ramipiril: No, most likely the cough will continue and the throat swelling is definitely a reason NOT to continue to take Ramipiril. This is what we call an ACE inhibitor which has the side effects you mention and should be stopped and you need to consult with your MD for further recs.
