Not Necessarily: I would see your doctor if this is the case.  A variety of things can cause swollen lymph nodes and it is important to figure out if this could be something more serious.

How?: I don't understand "when I got rid of them" since I don't know of any way to reduce lymph swelling (until the disease process has been controlled or faded away by itself as in the case of a viral infection) without medication.  Is the swelling still present?  If it has been present for more than a couple of weeks or getting worse, better consult your doctor.

i had protected sex. i got various hiv like symptoms from 1st week. i tested for hiv duo test on 31st, 41st, 51st, 60th day and all negative. all other sti negative. i still have one swollen lymph node in neck, longer uvula & knee pain. is this hiv?

Unlikely: From what you described you are unlikely to have HIV from the encounter in question. You should get a HIV nucleic acid test at 6 months after exposure. You may have acquired other infections, herpes is not prevented by a condom. It would be prudent to see a doctor for an evaluation.

Need to examine: The lymph nodes enlarge in response to some lesion in the area drained by the node. It would be prudent to see a doctor to ascertain the cause of the enlargement and treat the cause.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Depends: Usually not very long for recovery, a few days to a week depending on where the node was. Stitches will come out 7-10 days later...Again depending on where.

Watch closely: In many cases, a person getting over a viral respiratory infection, develop  a secondary bacterial  pneumonia. This occurs when the respiratory lining, damaged by the initial viral onslaught, is now vulnerable to bacterial attack. Your situation is not uncommon. Given this type of pneumonia, if your symptoms worsen, see your doctor you may need antibiotics.

If they completely disappear in the next week to ten days, then it is less concerning.

If there is any question, any residual swelling, or if you have other symptoms-sweating, fever, fatigue, then you need to be seen.

In short, you must feel completely normal and the noses gone or you need to see a DR.

More specifics: Do you mean the swollen nodes at the left side  of the neck and  not the whole body?  If so, it may mean that there is a sinus infection or dental abscess. I can't think of a condition which causes nodes to be enlarged involving much of the left side of the body. Perhaps you need a second opinion by seeing another doctor
