i have pcos and fatty liver. just want to know, whether it is curable?

PCOS: Pcos can cause hormonal changes but isn't usually a cause of fatty liver. Some medications used to treat the symptoms may cause liver changes but the risk is low. Herbal supplements used to treat pcos may affect the liver as well. I would see a specialist and tell them all the things you have tried to manage the symptoms to find out the cause of the fatty liver.

PCOS: Focus on getting healthy first and then pregnancy will come easy and naturally - focus on changing your diet to maybe paleo and eliminating any unhealthy fats like deep fried foods. Increase healthy fats like avocados, coconut oil etc. Start or increase exercise to 45 min daily for at least 5 days a week. If appropriate maybe consider weight loss.

i have pcos. strangely only my face(particularly cheeks) is very swollen and round. im not even obese. it is not an allergy. what else could this be?

Genetics?: Our facial structure is largely inherited, but if this is a change for you, i would look into getting your cortisol level checked to rule out cushing syndrome which can cause "moon facies". This is not a specific symptom of pcos.

PCOS &amp; Liver: With PCOS, many women have increased cholesterol. That can lead to fatty deposits in the liver as evidenced by US and by incresed ALT. The LH level is pulsatile so there is very little value in measuring it in women with PCOS. It is not one of the diagnostic criteria for determining PCOS. Focus on an insulin glucose tolerance test, androgen levels. Treatment is diet, exercise &amp; metformin for most.

a female has pcos taking clomophen and tamoxifen and metformin has elevated liver enzymes what is the cause?

Multiple reasons: It is possible that the metformin affected that. But...Many women with pcos have high insulins and sugars and this leads to chronic fatty liver which is the more common reason for those findings. An ultrasound of the liver would help.

i have high liver enzymes, pcos, gastritis, etc...can i eat skinny pop once and a while or avoid always? try to not make exceptions since it's a lifestyle change. doesn't seem to effect me negatively though?

i found out metformin raised my liver enzymes while trying to treat pcos . can i finish the prescription i have left safely ?

Uncommon: It is uncommon for metformin to raise your liven enzymes. High enzymes are more common in Insulin resistance no matter what the therapy. Check w/your doctor for other possible causes.

i am tan skinned but my palms are red in colour (cnt recall since when) i thought red palms meant a good blood flow, after some self online search, found that red palms can indicate an underlying health problem like liver problem? ps/ i have pcos?

i have developed a swollen face since puberty.i have pcos.my thyroid and cortisol are normal. what could be the reason for this swollen face?

PCOS: Polycysitic ovaries will cause weight gain and a "swollen face."  I believe you are also probably functionally hypo-thyroid, even though your blood tests are "normal."  Thyroid blood tests are generally a waste of blood.  You need Metformin and the herb Berberine for PCOS (500 mg of each, 3 times daily).  Get Broda Barnes' book, Hypothyroidism, the Unsuspected Illness.

my glucose levels overnight are elevated from midnight to 7 am sometimes into the 130s-140s. this is occurring independently from food intake. how do i get my liver to stop dumping glucose overnight? hx pcos & obesity. a1c 5.4?

: Elevated glucose levels (130-140) can occur from "midnight to 7 Am" because of late night snacks and less than normal insulin production.  Ask your physician about a glucose tolerance test, as insulin resistance is often occurring with either PCOS or obesity as in diabetes mellitus type 2.
