It depends.: Sometimes after surgery, fluid used to inflate the knee during the arthroscopy or edema fluid from inflammation can gradually work its way down to the foot and ankle and cause swelling there.  More concerning is that you might have a blood clot or deep vein thrombosis (dvt).  This is a serious problem that can be fatal and should be ruled out with an ultrasound exam.

Doctor can examine: That means driving the car to the doctor, in case the doctor wants to look at the position of the lower body and legs, when sitting in the driver's seat. Of course the foot symptoms can be a coincidence to the recent driving. In a 24 year-old, circulation should be great... so not sure what "isn't great" means. A recheck by the doctor should help figure things out. If needed, the ER can evaluate.

Followup : Would certainly want to followup with the lead physician in charge of your therapy to discuss directly the specifics of your case.  Deep vein thrombosis would certainly need to be ruled out in patient with unilateral lower extremity swelling.  Many potential causes of your diarrhea and weight loss which would need to be accurately diagnosed to know which treatment is appropriate.

Swelling: in the ankle and foot after standing all day long can be a sign of decreased circulation and can be somewhat normal.  More information such as your medical history and a physical would help to give an accurate diagnosis and form the proper treatment plan.  Check with your doctor if you are concerned!

Ice and a topical: Antifungal but if no improvement see a foot doc. 
I would make sure your sneakers are the correct size as well.

my left ankle has been swelling for the last month. i have noticed in the past 2 weeks my low calf has now swollen. my left  foot is starting to not fit in my shoes. i was given a prescription of prednisone, but the swelling has gotten worse.
